Yerevan Gladzor University was founded in 1990. It was originally aimed at becoming a worthy successor to historic Gladzor, with a high level of education, high-quality academic-teaching staff, rich educational programs and course syllabi, academic potential, etc.
During the past 31 years, the University’s governing body, the academic-teaching, and administrative staff have been consistently and firmly implementing an educational-academic procedure in compliance with international standards.
Yerevan Gladzor University’s academic-teaching staff is reinforced by well-known specialists of the Republic, specialists with great experience and knowledge. With their efforts, Gladzor has a great reputation today and has a worthy place in the higher education system of the Republic.
On July 25, 2001, the University was accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia and on March 21, 2015, in accordance with European standards and guidelines YGU was accredited in 4-year term. In 2021 YGU was awarded an institutional accreditation by ANQA (National center for professional education quality assurance) in 4-year term.
Yerevan Gladzor University is a self-governing higher educational institution that offers high-quality educational programs, providing formation of comprehensi- vely developed specialists in accordance with national and European standards as well as labour market requirements, specialists with theoretical and practical knowledge, practical skills and abilities, national mentality as well as the formation of specialists guided by universal values and a role-model citizen of the Republic.
